5.Did the player move the landed foot illegally?
6. Did the player contact the opposition player attempting to catch the ball?
7.Did the opposition player contact the player receiving the ball?

12. Is there any off-the-ball obstruction?
13.How long has the player been in possession held the ball?
14.Did anyone break at the centre?
15.Who touched the ball last as it went out of court?
These are just the main rules, there are many others. A netball game lasts 60 minutes. In the game time, players are not permitted to hold the ball any longer than three seconds, but on average the ball is released every 1 – 1.5 seconds, let’s say 45 times per minute.
15 Decisions x 60 minutes x 45 passes/min = 40,500
That’s 40,500 Decisions per game!!!
At this rate an umpire can make 400 errors and STILL be 99% correct!
So - spectators or players next time you disagree with a decision, just think that it probably won’t be too long before a 50-50 decision goes your way! Your positive attitude towards the umpire will help.
