Week 12

9 Phillip Vs St Caths  Win 9-8
Wow ! What a Great game every one had. Awards go to Lara for C and GA, ,Kathryn for GD, Gk ,Michelle for fantastic effort in WD,C. I think we still need to work on space and passes.  Jodie Wood
10B3  Vs  Connells Point  DRAW 7-7
I must remember to bring the blu-tack next week to keep our girls feet planted on the court! I think the whole team was pulled up for stepping at least once. We had a slow first half shooting only 2 goals, however came back strong in the second half scoring another 5 goals to tie with our opposition. Awards to Kate for her work in the goal circle, Charlotte for some great intercepts & Dani for covering the wing well. The girls also backed up & played the Sutherland PWD Green team. They all enjoyed playing in a different position & had fun interacting with the lovely girls fron the Green Team.   Vicki
11 B1  Vs Connells Point 2   WIN  19-9
Well this was a great game today. Everyone played well. With the loss of Tessa some of you had to step up and play in positions that you weren't used to and you did a fantastic job! There was some great shooting from Brielle, Abbey and Alanda. Alex did a wonderful job in both WD and WA and deserved the McDonald's award this week! Defence from Alessandra in the first half as GK was phenomenal especially since there was a great height difference between her and the opposition player. Keira and Brooke also did well in defence as did our never tiring centre Tijana. You all put in a wonderful effort- keep up the good work!!  Michelle Crisafulli
12 C2 Vs  Sylvania Heights  WIN 29-18
The last round we played against Sylvania Heights the girls lost by many goals due to two players being away.  How they turned this around on Saturday.  The girls were on fire with the shooting and defence. Excellent performance and so entertaining to watch.  You all moved well and read the game to perfection.  Congratulations girls.  Players of the match - Sophie and Lauren.   Clare Rizzuto

Week 11

9 Phillip   Vs  St Josephs
A hard game against a well drilled St Josephs. The girls had not played or trained due to school holidays and rain. We also had to borrow 2 players due to the hols. Thanks to teams who helped.  Jodie Wood

10B3  Vs Eagles  Loss 17-22
The girls turned up this morning & played like they were still in holiday mode. They were down 13-2 in the 1st half, but there's nothing like a packet of lollies for incentive & energy to fix that. The girls had a blinder in the 2nd half shooting a total of 15 goals. Alas the Eagles had already soared ahead in the 1st half & the girls, despite their best efforts, couldn't catch up. Awards to, Emma for great shooting, Kendall & Jess both for great defence & intercept work in the circle.   Vicki

Week 10
10B3  vs Sylvania Heights  Loss 9-10
With the rain stopped, it was a slippery start to the morning. The girls were trying so hard to find their feet in the 1st half as the goals were mounting against them.In the 2nd half the girls picked up the pace & despite losing the game, they won this half 6 goals to 3. Must have been all the giggling that helped them! A big Thankyou & star of the day to Carla for filling in at such an early time slot. Awards to Dani for some great intercepts & Jess for great support in the goal circle. Happy Birthday to Charlotte for next week!   Vicki
12(5)  Vs Eagles  WIN 32-7
What a great game girls.  Your all played so well and really banded together today.  Gemma and Shaylee had a bit of a rocky start missing a few goals but quickly made up for that as tha game progressed.  Lauren switched into shooter in 2nd half and was right on her game.  Great defending the goals from Alex and Jess and mid court work from Rachel and Riley.  Awesome girls!   Anita Champion (manager)

Week 9

9 Phillip  vs Bosco  Win 13-4
Another great game by the girls. They started a little slow but finished strongly. Michelle received the video award Zoe W received the Encouragement award and Kathryn got the coaches award for great defence. Lets look at improving our breaking and moving in front of the opposition into space. Remember to use the whole court.Keep up the great work girls.  Jodie Wood

11 B1  Vs Bosco 1  WIN  20-14

You all deserved this win girls as you all put in 110%! I was very proud of all of you! Alanda and Brielle in goals were brilliant, and Alanda deserves a special mention for getting so many rebounds despite being the shortest one in goals! Alessandra,Alex and Tessa did a fabulous job in defence and with 2 of our regular defence players out, Alessandra and Alex deserve a special mention for their great work in GK and GD. The team was rounded out with our ever energetic centre, Tijana, and Abbey who both played well, deserving their awards this week! We didn't expect to win this one and I would have to say that the better team definitely won on the day! Keep up the good work! Imagine what we can do when we're full strength with Brooke and Keira back!!!! Thank you to the two great umpires that we had too!  Michelle Crisafulli
